Terms of Service
Chapter 1. General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose) These Terms of Service ("Terms") set forth the basic terms and conditions and procedures for the use of the internet services (the "Service") provided by 'QHBIO' (the "Site").
Article 2 (Effect and Amendment of the Terms) ① These Terms shall become effective upon being announced to users through the Service screen or other means. ② The Site may amend the contents of these Terms, and any amended Terms shall become effective upon being announced or notified in the same manner as set forth in Paragraph 1.
Article 3 (Definitions) The definitions of the terms used in these Terms are as follows. ① "Member" refers to an individual or organization that has entered into a service use agreement with the Site or has been granted a user ID. ② "Applicant" refers to an individual or organization applying for membership registration. ③ "ID" refers to a combination of letters and numbers determined by the Member and approved by the Site for the purpose of identifying the Member and using the Service. ④ "Password" refers to a combination of letters and numbers determined by the Member to verify that the Member matches the assigned ID and to protect the Member's confidentiality. ⑤ "Termination" refers to the cancellation of the service use agreement by the Site or the Member.
Chapter 2. Service Use Agreement
Article 4 (Formation of the Use Agreement) ① Clicking the "Agree" button at the bottom of these Terms shall be deemed as agreement to these Terms. ② The use agreement is formed when the Site accepts the application submitted by a prospective user after such user has agreed to these Terms.
Article 5 (Application for Use) ① In order to use the Service, an Applicant must complete and submit the user information required in the registration form designated by the Site. ② All user information entered in the registration form is deemed to be accurate. Users who fail to enter their real name or accurate information may not be entitled to legal protection and may be subject to restrictions on the use of the Service.
Article 6 (Acceptance of Applications) ① The Site shall accept an Applicant's application for use of the Service, except in the cases set forth in Paragraphs 2 and 3. ② The Site may withhold its acceptance of an application until the relevant restriction is resolved in any of the following cases: a. Where there is insufficient capacity in service-related facilities; b. Where there is a technical obstacle; or c. Where the Site otherwise deems it necessary. ③ The Site may refuse an application in any of the following cases: a. Where the application is made using another individual's (or entity's) name; b. Where the application contains false user information; c. Where the application is made for the purpose of undermining public order or good morals; or d. Where the application otherwise fails to meet the requirements prescribed by the Site.
Article 7 (Change of User Information) If a Member's registered information changes, the Member must update it online, and the Member shall be responsible for any and all issues arising from a failure to do so.
Chapter 3. Obligations of the Parties
Article 8 (Obligations of the Site) ① The Site shall provide Members with the following services: a. Distribution of newsletters regarding new services and domain-related information; b. Automatic entry of personal information upon additional domain registration; and c. Various value-added services for domain registration and management. ② The Site shall not disclose, release, or distribute to third parties any personal information of Members obtained in connection with the provision of the Service without the Member's consent, nor use such information for commercial purposes unrelated to the Service, except in any of the following cases: a. Where requested by a government agency pursuant to laws such as the Framework Act on Telecommunications; b. Where required for criminal investigation purposes or requested by the Korea Communications Standards Commission; or c. Where requested pursuant to procedures prescribed by other relevant laws and regulations. ③ The Site shall be obligated to provide the Service continuously and stably in accordance with these Terms.
Article 9 (Obligations of Members) ① Members shall not engage in any of the following acts when using the Service: a. Fraudulently using another Member's ID; b. Reproducing information obtained through the Service for purposes other than the Member's own use, or modifying, publishing, broadcasting, or providing such information to third parties, without the Site's prior consent; c. Infringing the copyrights of the Site, the copyrights of others, or any other rights; d. Distributing to others any information, text, images, or other content that violates public order or good morals; or e. Engaging in any act objectively deemed to be connected with a crime; or f. Engaging in any other act that violates relevant laws and regulations. ② Members shall comply with relevant laws and regulations, the provisions of these Terms, and the Service usage guidelines and precautions. ③ Members shall comply with any usage restrictions posted by the Site in service notices or otherwise separately announced for each type of content.
Chapter 4. Provision and Use of the Service
Article 10 (Member's Obligations Regarding Management of ID and Password) ① Members shall be solely responsible for managing their ID and password. Members shall bear full responsibility for any consequences arising from negligent management or unauthorized use of their assigned ID and password. ② If a Member's ID has been used without authorization, or in the event of any other security breach, the Member must immediately notify the Site of such fact.
Article 11 (Restriction and Suspension of Service) ① The Site may restrict or suspend all or part of the Service in the event of war, conflict, natural disaster, a national emergency of an equivalent nature (whether occurring or anticipated), suspension of telecommunications services by a telecommunications carrier under the Telecommunications Business Act, or other force majeure events. ② Where the Site restricts or suspends the Service pursuant to Paragraph 1, it shall notify Members of the reason and duration of such restriction without delay.
Chapter 5. Amendment and Termination of the Agreement
Article 12 (Change of Information) Where a Member wishes to change customer information such as address or password, the Member may do so through the member information change service on the website.
Article 13 (Termination of the Agreement) A Member may terminate the service use agreement, and in such case must submit a termination request to the Site directly through the Service, by phone, or online. The Site shall restrict the relevant Member's use of the Service from the date the termination request is received. Where the Site intends to terminate the use agreement on any of the following grounds, it shall notify the Member of such intent at least 7 days prior to termination and provide an opportunity to explain: ① Where the Member violates usage-restriction provisions or fails to resolve the grounds for restriction within the restriction period; ② Where the Korea Communications Standards Commission requests termination of use; ③ Where the Member fails, without justifiable reason, to respond to a request to state their position; or ④ Where the Member entered into the use agreement under another person's name, or by providing false information or false documents in the application. The Site may restrict the re-registration of a Member whose agreement has been terminated pursuant to the foregoing for a separately prescribed period.
Chapter 6. Compensation for Damages
Article 14 (Disclaimer) ① The Site shall be exempted from liability for any damages arising from a Member's failure to obtain expected benefits from the Service, or from the Member's selection or use of service materials. ② The Site shall be exempted from liability where a service failure occurs or a Member's data is damaged due to a cause attributable to the Member or the willful act of a third party. ③ The Site shall be exempted from liability with respect to the content of any material posted or transmitted by a Member. ④ With respect to domains involving trademark rights, any liability for damages or compensation that may arise therefrom shall rest solely with the Member who purchased the domain, and the Site shall bear no liability whatsoever in this regard.
Article 15 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction) ① These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. ② In the event of a dispute between the Site and a Member in connection with the Service, the Seoul Central District Court of the Republic of Korea shall have exclusive jurisdiction over such dispute as the court of first instance, unless otherwise required by mandatory applicable law.
Addendum
(Effective Date) These Terms shall take effect as of September 2026.
